1. Admission process for M.Sc. Biomolecular Physics, M.Sc. Genome Engineering, M.Sc. Systems Biology, M.Sc.Tissue Engineering is as under:

  • Apply Online → Submission of Eligibility documents → Merit List based on qualifying exam marks → Provisional Admission Offer to shortlisted candidates → Admission Formalities

2. Admission process for M.Sc. Medical Biotechnology, M.Sc. Molecular Biology & Human Genetics, M.Sc.(Research) in Life Science* is as under:
  • Apply Online → Manipal Entrance Test (MET) → Merit List based on MET score → Physical / Online Counseling → Admission Formalities*
    • *- Personal Interview (PI) is also applicable for M.Sc. (Research) in Life Science

After the completion of above-mentioned process / merit list is exhausted Sl. No. 1, vacant seats (if any) will be added to the seat matrix along with the programs mentioned under Sl. No. 2.

  • It is the responsibility of the candidates to book their test schedule before the last date specified by the University. Any requests for the change of test center city / date / slot will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • The examination is scheduled for 2 days with 2 slots per day. Hence, the candidates who have applied for multiple programs have to book their slot which does not clash with slot of other programs.

Guidelines for 2nd Attempt Booking

Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs
  • Candidate will be allowed to take second attempt if s/he is not satisfied with his/her performance in the first test, subject to availability of seats. The second slot may be booked after the first attempt as per the schedule mentioned above. 
  • Candidates who have applied on or before 23 March 2026 are eligible for a second attempt with an additional fee payment of Rs.1200, in Phase 2.
  • Candidates giving the first attempt in Phase 2 are NOT eligible for a second attempt in Phase 2.
  • Based on the above-mentioned eligibility, the candidate can go for the second attempt by making an online payment of Rs.1200/- under application portal https://apply.manipal.edu
  • Test Center City for the second attempt is as same as the City for the first attempt. In case of unavailability of the Test Center at the same City, the University will identify the Test Center at the nearby City.
