Officials familiar with the process said that the Sanskrit examination was conducted on April 8, which was among the last major papers in the Class 12 board schedule. Due to this, the assessment of those answer sheets is taking more time than expected.

As a result, the final compilation of marks and verification work is reportedly still underway. Once all subject evaluations are completed, the board is expected to finalize and upload the results on the official websites.

Sources suggest that the Central Board of Secondary Education Class 12 Result 2026 may now be announced in the first week of May, if the remaining work is completed on time.
