Maruti Suzuki flags off 14th Desert Storm Rally

Noida: India’s leading passenger vehicle manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) flagged off the 14th edition of its popular Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm rally amidst much fanfare from Great India Place Mall, Noida.

Covering a total of 2000 kms, the rally will steer through the sand dunes and rocky terrains of Hanumanagarh, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Jaipur in Rajasthan.

West Indies men, women team celebrate World T20 win with 'Champion Dance'

Kolkata: Both men and women team of West Indies after winning their respective World Twenty20 titles got into celebration and party mode with 'Champion Dance' that has been made famous by star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo.

On Sunday, Windies women's team defeated Australia by eight-wicket at the Eden Gardens here, which was followed by senior men's team stunning four-wicket win over England.

This win made the year a memorable one for Windies as their Under-19 team in February defeated India to win the 50-over U-19 World Cup.

WT20: Kohli helps India to an emphatic win over Aus

Mohali: Virat Kohli led the way with a sublime half-century as India defeated Australia by six wickets at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium here on Sunday to enter the World Twenty20 semi-finals.

The in-form Delhi lad remained unbeaten on 82 runs off 51 balls as the Indians survived a few early setbacks to overhaul a difficult target of 161 with five deliveries to spare.

Sunday's match, the last in Group 2, was a virtual quarter-final as the winners qualified the semi-finals. India finished their group engagements with three wins in four matches. Australia will go home with two wins and an equal number of defeats.

Kohli top-scored with an unbeaten 55 of 37 balls, while captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni remained unconquered on 13, as India reached their target of 119 losing only four wickets with 13 balls to spare. Earlier, Pakistan had posted 118/5 in the shortened 18-over game.
