SBI cuts term deposit rates by up to 50 bps

Mumbai: State Bank of India has cut its term deposit rates by up to 50 basis points (bps) for amounts below Rs one crore with maturity period ranging from two to 10 years.

For deposits of two to three years, the interest rate has been reduced by 50 bps from 6.75 per cent to 6.25 per cent.

New Delhi: The 10th Anniversary edition of the Zayed Future Energy Prize is open for entries, it was announced earlier today. Submissions from eligible entrants are invited in the Small & Medium Enterprise, Non-Profit Organisation and Global High Schools categories, while the Large Corporation and Lifetime Achievement categories are open to nominations from the public. Entries will close on 6th July 2017.

Average monsoons: Analysts see farm GDP clipping at 3-4%

Mumbai: A normal monsoon season, as projected by the Met department (IMD) could help the agricultural GDP grow by 3-4 per cent this year, a tad lower than last year's, says a report.

The IMD today said there would be good distribution of rainfall across the country and it will receive 96 per cent of the long period average.

"Aircel customers will enjoy free incoming calls on roaming without any extra charges on Aircel network across the country. Aircel customers need to dial in *121*909# to activate free incoming calls while roaming on Aircel networks," the company said in a statement here.
