Instagram introduces face filters, camera tools

San Francisco: Facebook-owned Instagram on Wednesday introduced face filters and a new set of creative tools in the camera to make it more fun to share moments with friends.

"From math equations swirling around your head to furry koala ears that move and twitch, you can transform into a variety of characters that make you smile or laugh. To see our initial set of eight face filters, simply open the camera and tap the new face icon in the bottom right corner," the company said in a blog post.


Google Maps, Amazon, eBay removes support for Apple Watch

San Francisco: Major apps including Google Maps, Amazon, eBay appear to have ditched their Apple Watch apps and have quietly removed support for watchOS in updates submitted to the App Store.

"Google confirmed it had removed support from Google Maps but suggested that move might be temporary," technology website reported on Tuesday.


Facebook launches camera platform for developers to encourage AR

New York: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg during the two-day annual F8 developer conference launched a platform for developers to encourage augmented reality (AR) camera effects.

Zuckerberg stressed that AR-powered camera effects would change the way people interact with friends on the social network.


Videocon launches Delite 11+ smartphone

New Delhi: Domestic mobile manufacturer Videocon on Monday launched its latest smartphone Delite 11+ that comes equipped with Pro 360 OS-based on Android Marshmallow for Rs 5,800.

The Pro 360 OS offers a series of features, including security, privacy, efficiency and remote access.


'Bigger Apple, Google, Facebook will exist in 2075'

San Francisco: Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak believes that Apple, Google and Facebook will be bigger in 2075 and dominate the world.

"Apple will be around a long time, like IBM (which was founded in 1911)," USA Today quoted Wozniak as saying on Sunday.
