NBCC harassing contractors, several irregularities in allotting projects come to the fore

New Delhi: National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), a Navratna organisation, has been accused unnecessarily harassing contractors and holding their payments.

One of the cases is related to contract signed between NBCC and M/S Shambhavi Contractors Pvt. Ltd where the former not only failed to fulfill its contractual obligations under the contract dates 20.12.2007 but also deliberately withheld payments of latter causing huge loss to the contractor.

Tainted official appointed chairman of West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission by Mamata government

New Delhi: Former chairman Damodar Valley corportation (DVC) RN Sen has been appointed as Chairman of  West Bengal State Regulartory Elecricity Regulatory Commission by the government of WEst Bengal in spite of Several vigiliance cases pending against him with the Central Vigilance commision, ministry of power and CBI.

Not only this, Sen has overdrawn salary while he was chairman in DVC over and above what was due to him. Apart from this, he has drawn retirment benfits from DVC as well as NTPC.

Director technical of HPL indulging in corrupt practices

New Delhi: Ignoring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s zero tolerance against corruption; one of the directors of a Public Sector Unit (PSU) - Hindustan Prefab Limited (HPL) is allegedly indulging in corrupt practices.

Sanjiv Kumar Gupta, the director of Hindustan Prefab Limited (HPL), a government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation, is allegedly manipulating and affecting the whole process of tendering.

Mukesh Gupta, ADGP removed from Intelligence wing: Chhattisgarh Govt

Mukesh Gupta, the Additional Director-General of Police and considered the most “influential and powerful” IPS officer in the State has been removed from the intelligence wing by Chhattisgarh government.

Gupta was heading the intelligence wing apart from the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
