Tata unveils Nano as new Delhi Police PCR

New Delhi: Tata Nano was on Thursday unveiled in a new avatar, the new probable Delhi Police emergency response vehicle to cater to women and children in distress. 

The curtains of the white car, embossed with Delhi Police logos, were taken off by Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami who inaugurated the four-day 'India International Security Expo' at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. 

Mahindra ties up with Carzonrent to offer e20 for self drive at Rs 800 per day

New Delhi: Mahindra Group firm Mahindra Reva and cab rental firm Carzonrent joined hands to provide users in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore self drive experience at a price of Rs 800 for 24 hours. 

Under the partnership announced on Wednesday, Carzonrent will offer Mahindra e2o (electric car) for self drive in New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai from October 1, 2013.

Fiat launches entry-level sedan Linea Classic in India

New Delhi: Italian automobile major Fiat Wednesday entered the entry-level sedan segment with the launch of Linea Classic, priced Rs.5.99-Rs.7.50 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).

"We are optimistic about our prospect for growth in the Indian car market, which is rapidly becoming one of the major markets in the world," said Nagesh Basavanhalli, president and managing director, FIAT Chrysler Operations India.

Skoda all set to launch Octavia in India on 3rd October

New Delhi: The Volkswagen owned auto company Skoda has officially confirmed that it will be launching its next generation Octavia sedan on 3rd of October 2013. 

The all-new Skoda Octavia will be available in 1.8 and 1.4 petrol versions and 2.0 diesel version, with the 1.8 TSI good for 177bhp, the 1.4 TSI good for 138bhp and the 2.0 TDI making 141bhp. 

Hyundai to hike prices by up to Rs 20,000 next month

New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Thursday said it will hike prices by up to Rs 20,000 across models, except the newly launched compact car Grand i10, from October 1 to offset the impact of rupee depreciation and rising input costs.

"We will be increasing the prices from October 1 by Rs 4,000 to Rs 20,000 across models except our new model Hyundai Grand which has been recently launched at an aggressive introductory price,"

Samsung unveils Note 3 for Rs 49,900 in India

New Delhi: Samsung on Tuesday announced the launch of its Note 3 smartphone priced at Rs 49,900 for Indian markets.

Coming as the most expensive and high-end phone from the Korean mobile maker, Note 3 would have advanced S Pen which will not only enable user to make note on phone but also give access to various applications.
